The end of Avengers: Infinity War left most Marvel fans in shock -- one by one, their favorite personalities had been reduced to dust, literally, even following the villainous Thanos came through on his promise and then'murdered' half of the world's inhabitants using a snap of his hands. In a brand new interview, the movie's visual effects supervisor talked about the movie's now iconic dust chain, and the reason why it was selected as the manner where the heroes perish.
VFX Supervisor Dan DeLeeuw explained that the dust effect was suspended in narrative. "The Power Stone has been blipping them from story," DeLeeuw told Inverse. This decision has been taken following carefully considering how every Infinity Stone could lead to death, and what that death may look like. In the movie, Thanos goes on a mission to combine six Infinity Stones, that, once embedded in the Infinity Gauntlet, possess the capability.
"We had thought art combining all those things, and it had been getting too busy," he said. "It became too complex. It had been rapping on what the actors were performing. Therefore it turned into'body turns to ash.' We peeled away all these layers and concentrated on that person [Power Stone], deciding how fast it would consume someone, what pattern it might consume ."
Infinity War's End left Much open to interpretation, mostly
About the finality of the fans'd just seen. But talking to Huffington Post in June, the supervisors of Infinity War along with the forthcoming Fourth Avengers film -- Joe & Anthony Russo -- had said,"When we express Goodbye to some personalities, we will say it eternally."
"Here is the thing, I believe it's important to remember anything is possible from the MCU," Anthony Russo informed HuffPost, responding to complaints against the film's ending. "Just because there's a sequel on the books does not mean... people become accustomed to period going linearly in the MCU. That doesn't necessarily have to be the situation. There is a lot of very inventive methods of where the story might go ."
But many fans have seen leaked pictures from the sets of the fourth film, read the leaked plot synopsis, and dissected quotes by cast members, only to determine that the movie will involve some amount of reality bending and time traveling, which will likely result from the revival of the dead Avengers.
Infinity War has made over $2 billion globally, which makes it the most highest-grossing Marvel movie , and just the fourth film in history to cross the coveted $2 billion mark. Avengers 4, billed as a substantial decision to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we understand it, could arrive in May, 2019.
